The Assumption

The Candlemass

The Candle, Presentation of the Lord, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, California, United States of America  On the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, forty days from the Nativity of our Lord; I found a significant calender in effect with the traditional Candlemass observed for this determined mark of meeting the Divine Child God and Babe. This significant effect was the reality of babe born alive and is now forty days old.  And amidst the pomp and circumstance of holiday compliance came the reality of being born and still alive forty days from birth. How do we make this day a Feast in the calendar?  How do we examine what forty days have born since His celebration of nativity? A Candle. Lit. Fire burning. Blessed Light. Intellect illumined. Forty days. Meryl Viola Bravo
