Meeting the Person of Christ, His Holiness Pope John Paul II
Last evening after the 7:00 p.m. Holy Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, the relic of Pope St. John Paul II was offered for the faithful for veneration of His Person still present through an article of his Corporal Body or touched to his Corporal Body.
When meeting the Person of Christ through the dead, we find ALIVE what we held onto by these persons who were a part of our pilgrimage here on Earth. I love how the Roman Catholic Church buries the dead and relives the LIFE of the PERSON with a significant reality to their existence still on Earth through a veneration of an article of their corporal body that was worn, touched or is a part of their corporal reality. We are persons who live, exist and move beyond the life of which we find ourselves. There are persons before us. There are persons after us. How we recall their life when they were living tells the heart how alive they are till today.
LOVE is EVERLASTING! Death is no longer. Do not be Afraid of what comes after.
