How do we give a Bible as a Gift?

A Christmas Gift, A Bible and Intention of Giving

I have been remaining in a residence who did not really offer their home, until I found myself homeless.  I simply was given her room, which she used as a garage for her many gifts sitting from the giving of others.  This bible was sitting amidst her pile of items and she simply felt this was an extra and so she delivered it most likely belonged to me.

The preparation that comes with offering a gift to any person, whether the person is the Christ Child or simply a person who once was a child; comes from the plan of giving.  She did not plan to give me this bible.  I knew it.  She did not even expect me to reside in her home, until I was homeless.  Thus, she did not plan on having me as a guest for Christmas.  The gift did not seem so much a gift.

What I have discovered in the meaning of gift giving and the depth of a Bible as a gift is the plan to give to a specific person for the well intention of knowing this person as belonging to Someone who has always seen you as a gift to a person.  It has been such a difficult past year.  The only finding I discovered was her disposition of piling another sacramental amidst her pile of sacramentals.  And what is a Sacramental?

The Sign is a reality only with the Act of Faith.

Plan your gift and the Act of Faith is a planned giving.
