The Holy Mass, Contemplation and Rest

The Holy Mass, Contemplation and Silence for Holy Communion

I have encountered a contemplation of the Mass at St. Therese Church, Alhambra, California and this is the exceptional time the Priest Celebrant provides as a moment of silence during Holy Communion.  Fifteen minutes of silence is provided after Holy Communion.  There is no hymn.  There is no vocal prayer.  Only a Moment of Rest in Silence.

This has been a depth of the Mass I miss about the Spiritual Mysticism of Carmel and the direction of charism this comes forth from the Carmelite Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.  It is a time of rest from the difficulties of Diocesan Efforts to keep with the time and specific schedules performed for administration of a Mass.  I am finding these Carmelite Priests leaving the setting of a serious form of legal administration of the Mass and living their CHARISM uninterrupted by the work that comes from ministering to administer a non-profit private entity of institution.  They have a healthy performance of separation of distinct effort to maintain a balance between Church and State.

I am enjoying this time with Carmel and am hoping this will also come with an effort of leaving this difficulty of being placed in the wrong category of persons who find themselves at the well condition to judge a human being without first looking at their own serious decision to face the reality of sin and the acts of which we place on the innocent persons who have been condemned by a system.

I am grateful to the Priests who are firm in the CHARISM OF DUE JUSTICE OF RELIGION beyond the administration of a diocesan or archdiocesan work of a parish.  And the SALVATION OF SOULS is much more at a liability for the ministering of the works to thankfully come TO AN ACTION OF GRACE!
